Many years ago – I started to figure out Bitcoin. I DL’d a wallet but in the end felt that the process was tedious and I had better things to occupy my time than figuring it out.
Flash forward to last year (Sept 2016) – I wanted to make a purchase online and that particular site only accepted Bitcoin. This time just getting Bitcoins was painless. As a geek I was excited to see that people really worked together to make the system better despite it’s initial learning curve (which I had ignorantly declined to do).. but i digress.
Here we are today (well were, depending on when you read this) – During our lil` 4th of July holiday. I was surfing the net and saw that Bitcoin was at about $2500. “Hmm I thought to myself .. ” You see, after my purchase I had a whopping $15 worth left sitting in a wallet. I’d checked on it earlier in the year and it was up to about $30. However, to my surprise it was now worth $90. Well shoot .. that’s pretty cool. Then I thought “How do I get more?” – Mining!
So .. after a few hours of Googling about mining. I blew my Bitcoin stash and joined a Cloud Mining pool. Only time will tell if I make any real money with it but hey I’m finally in the game.
Though (as my opening remarks state) I’m kicking myself in the ass for being stupid .. I should have jumped all in .. and not half assed it like I did.
