Is the US Government SHUTDOWN a deception?

Update Below

Welcome folks to my 1st post of 2018. I know we’re quite a few days into the new year already but frankly didn’t have anything to post about .. ’til now.

So we’ve entered into another US Government Shutdown. This time with everyone’s punching bag Donnie Trump as Pres. However, how much leverage does he really have? Shit, how much did Obama have? I don’t know but I do believe it’s a game that asshole politicians have been playing, against other assholes (maybe politicians, maybe corporate entities) for a long time. We the people, we’re the pawns in the middle being forced to watch the charade!

So, why am I writing this on a Web Dev Blog? – Simply because many missed what happened last time.

– A) They not just had signs printed and ready to go, but shipped to not just DC but to locations across the country.

– B) They shutdown access to 100’s websites but kept the servers running.

Come On! It was obviously a blatant, in our faces, psy-ops against the American people but they love doing this shit.

How much did it cost to have thousands of signs pre-made and shipped across the country? – How long did it take to print them? – Who bid on that contract?

How many hours were paid to programers to place SHUTDOWN Splash pages on 100’s of sites? – Why not shut down the servers? You (or we) are still paying for them and the energy to run them. What’s more, most of on sites where only info. Meaning they didn’t sell anything like admission or passes etc. It was truly a Vulgar Display of Power. A corrupt bunch of greedy men out to psychologically effect the mind set of the majority.

That’s my rant .. I hope all this new nonsense has a real purpose to help the country. Though sadly I’m very skeptical.

** UPDATE ..  So, I wanted to look up something on The Library of Congress (had totally forgot about the “shutdown”) and I was pleasantly surprised to see that someone had the fortitude to leave the web site up and running. While only adding a notification about requests that require personal attention.

Also decided to check out https://www.nationalparks.org/ – Still live and no shutdown notice.
Bravo to whomever, Bravo!
