This is a warning to anyone considering updating your iPhone to iOS 11!! — It may just break your phone.
So yesterday (Oct 12th) I decided to press the update button on my iPhone 7. I hadn’t updated it in a while, so figure why not.
It does its thing and I try to log in .. TOUCH SCREEN DOESN’T WORK!
Is it me? – NO! .. So I do a hard reboot cause the normal way I can’t do. No Change .. YAAA GREAT, going to the Apple Store.
3 hours later I get to see a “genius”.
Long story short .. He says because I changed my screen with a 3rd party the new iOS 11 won’t support it and you will need to have it replaced “HERE AT APPLE” for $150.
REALLY .. So basically anyone who replaced their screens and upgrades to iOS 11 will be fucked and have to pay Apple to reset the screen.
Oh yeah .. the geek also says they can’t revert the software back to 10.x.x. Sure as fuck you can .. look at YouTube!
I don’t know if it’s a software bug .. if it is, FIX IT!! – But to me it seems like Apple is trying to shut down the uBreak weFix stores and make themselves some extra money.
Typical Apple BS if you ask me.
